Keli Hay

Keli Hay is an instructional designer, technical writer, and certified trainer with more than a decade of experience developing and delivering content for software, financial services, energy, life sciences, retail, defense, healthcare, and government customers. Keli recently worked as a Lead Instructional Designer at Irish eLearning company PulseLearning, providing Global 2000 organizations with fully integrated learning solutions. Through her work at PulseLearning, Keli designed, developed, and lead learning deliverables for various clients in multiple industry verticals. Before that, Keli assisted leading SIEM vendor Q1 Labs (now IBM) with the development of technical documentation and courseware for internal, customer, and partner training. Before Q1 Labs, Keli provided government employees with introductory and intermediate-level training on various Microsoft software packages including Word, Excel, and Microsoft Windows. Keli has also served in various roles and responsibilities at Magma Communications (now Primus), Nortel Networks, Computer Sciences Corporation, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

Keli provided technical editing expertise to the authors of the OSSEC Host-based Intrusion Detection Guide (Syngress, ISBN 9781597492409, March 2008) to ensure quality and consistency. Later that year, Keli co-authored the Nokia Firewall, VPN, and IPSO Configuration Guide (Syngress, 9781597492867, November 2008). Keli graduated with a diploma in Business Administration (Information Systems Major) from Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She has also attended the Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+) and Instructional Techniques workshops offered by Friesen, Kaye and Associates. Keli has also taken several courses towards the Ontario Management Development Program (OMDP) including communications, teambuilding and leadership, management for results, human relations, and human resources selection.
