Kelly Greenberg

Coach Kelly Greenberg has led a remarkable career in the world of college women’s basketball. Currently employed as the Head Coach at Boston University (BU), Kelly Greenberg has revitalized the program since arriving to her post in 2004 by increasing the team’s win percentage to a 30-year high of .602 and helping them become regular contenders in the America East Conference. Now in her seventh season, Coach Greenberg holds 126 wins for the university and over 200 throughout her career as a head coach, one of only 3 active head coaches in America East to reach the milestone. Despite the loss of talented graduating seniors every year, Kelly Greenberg has upheld an impressive standard for quality, and she brings out the best in freshman and sophomores to support the team and prepare for their future successes. Several athletes have made the All-Conference First Team and the All-Rookie Team, as well as won awards at BU ranging from Fans’ Choice Player of the Year to Player and Defensive Player of the Year. Although the team has narrowly missed a spot in the NCAA tournament, the Terriers have been regular participants in the finals of the America East Tournament, with five appearances since Coach Kelly Greenberg joined the team in 2004.

Coach Kelly Greenberg’s credentials include over two decades coaching women’s basketball. Over that time, she has earned eight conference titles and made seven NCAA tournament appearances with a number of prominent institutions. As a coach for teams from Division I schools such as Northeastern University, The George Washington University, the University of Rhode Island, the College of the Holy Cross, and the University of Pennsylvania, Greenberg has the tools to lead a team to a winning record. Kelly Greenberg also possesses experience on the court: during her collegiate career at La Salle University, she was recognized as a two-time Second-Team All-Big-5 selection, and the Explorers went on to win three consecutive Big 5 Championships and NCAA Tournaments. As Captain in her senior year, Greenberg led the team to a 28-3 record and a national ranking in addition to a slot in the NCAA tournament. When not leading the BU team, Kelly Greenberg enjoys numerous outdoor activities, such as boating, gardening, kayaking, basketball, softball, and field hockey. She currently resides in West Roxbury, Massachusetts.
