Kenneth Deck

Dr. Kenneth Deck is a dedicated laparoscopic surgeon with a specialty in breast cancer treatment and research. After earning his MD from the Ohio State College of Medicine, Dr. Deck completed a fellowship in biliary and breast surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital Los Angeles. Now a board-certified vascular surgeon, Dr. Deck serves as Medical Director and Surgical Director at MemorialCare Breast Center at Saddleback Memorial. He is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. Over the years, Dr. Kenneth Deck has participated in many clinical research projects, often focusing on breast cancer research. He was the Principal Investigator in a pivotal study on breast lymph node assay for intra-operative molecular testing and a multi-center comparison study of patients with known melanoma and breast cancer who were undergoing lymph node mapping. Dr. Deck also worked as Principal Investigator on a similar study that evaluated the long-term impact of identifying tumor-draining lymph nodes in patients with breast cancer or melanoma. Dr. Kenneth Deck has been a contributor to multiple articles and publications on topics related to breast cancer, including “Comparison of MammaPrint, BluePrint, and TargetPrint with Clinical Parameters in Patients with Breast Cancer: Findings from a Prospective United States Cohort,” presented at the 2011 Breast Cancer Symposium. Dr. Deck lives in Southern California and operates a private practice in Orange County. He is a California Medical Board Examiner and an Independent Medical Examiner, and he sits on the Board of Medical Quality Assurance.
