Kenrya Rankinis an award-winning author and editorial consultant whose insight has been tapped by leading outlets, includingThe New York Times,The Huffington PostandThinkProgress. She has published three books, most recently,Bet on Black: African-American Women Celebrate Fatherhood in the Age of Barack Obama. As a journalist and editor, her work has appeared in more than a dozen national publications, includingFast Company,Reader’s Digest,EbonyandRedbook. She writes about everything from race to technology, and her work has been translated into 21 languages. She is founder and editorial director of parenting site BlackAndGreenMama.com, produces content for Colorlines.com and BET.com, and is a practicing doula. Kenrya earned her undergraduate degree in journalism from Howard University, and her master’s degree in publishing from New York University. She is a proud native of Cleveland, Ohio, and currently lives in the Washington, DC area.
