I've learned a lot in the half century that I've been kicking around. Mostly the hard way, I've figured out how to create, run and sell tech startups, build magazines, write books, and make films. More importantly, I've taken my best shot at being a father and a husband. Sometimes well, other times not so much. I'm still learning.

Over the last decade, I've also leaned into coaching kids in ice hockey (usually the best part of my day). The conviction that coaches have a lifelong impact (both for the good and not so good) led me to create Great Coach.com. The Great Coach platform will revolutionize youth, amateur, and scholastic sport culture by providing greater athlete safety through transparency, accountability, communication, and feedback.

Lately, along with my kids, I've been learning to send it on a dirt bike. As in prior endeavors, it turns out that launching is easy; it's the landings that test you.
