Kevin McClure

I am studying to be either a Mechanical or Robotics Engineer at Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering in Needham, Massachusetts.

Engineering is something that has always interested me; from a young age I was fascinated with the way things worked and attempted to take everything apart to study what happened inside. I had the opportunity to spend a week at NASA's Johnson Space Center the summer after my Junior year of High School working on various projects, and that week drove my interest in engineering towards the space industry and deep space exploration. One long-term goal of mine is to work on developing satellites and robots that will explore other celestial bodies in order to pave the way for future human exploration.

As much as I love the Boston area, I'll always call North Texas home. I grew up in Grapevine, Texas- a suburb in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. While I'm glad to be out of the heat, I'm a diehard Dallas-area sports fan and maintain that FC Dallas, the Texas Rangers, the Cowboys, the Mavericks, and the Stars are by far the best teams in their respective sports. In the free time that I have, I enjoy Soccer, Ultimate Frisbee, Biking, playing the Saxophone, and hanging out with my friends.
