I'm an Educational Studies doctorial candidate at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). My program is oriented at understanding the philosophical roots and the historical development of schooling. My dissertation explores homeschooling via Reformational Philosophy and the ideas of theDutch philosopher Herman Dooyeweerd (1894-1977).

I consider myself an educator and an advocate. I enjoy talking with others about big ideas and how they can be applied for the common good. I like to draw lines between the past and the future, and wonder out loud.

I appreciate creativity. I develop communication and technology solutions. I write essays and poetry.

I'd like to be known as a winsome, passionate innovator, someone who thinks outside the box, and is willing to risk. I'd like more opportunities to research/explore, create and share with others what is good.

Inspiring others is what leadership is all about.

I do volunteer work for local and state organizations, such as North Carolinians for Home Education (NCHE). I have a dream of maybe one day operating an independent bookstore/study center.

Currently I serve UNCG as an Educational Technologist.
