Kevin Veroneau

San Antonio, TX

An experienced educator and athletic coach, Kevin Veroneau currently coaches the girls’ varsity soccer team at Robert E. Lee High School in San Antonio, Texas, where he joined the faculty as a social studies teacher in 2011. He also coaches a Girls’ U11 team at the Classics Elite Soccer Academy. Kevin Veroneau led the Robert E. Lee team to the championship of the 2012 Southwest Tournament, bringing his lifetime school coaching record to 141-83-24. In addition, the Girls U11 team he coaches at the Classic Elite Soccer Club has won three league championships and five tournaments with a record of 54 wins, 2 losses, and 3 ties over the past 14 months.

Kevin Veroneau started coaching girls’ soccer in 1995, the year he earned his Bachelor of Education in Physical Education and Exercise Science from the University of Toledo. For three seasons, he coached the girls’ U15 and U16 team for the Maumee Soccer Club in northwestern Ohio. At the same time, Veroneau embarked on a teaching career, teaching physical education at various schools in the Toledo public school system. In 1998, he was assigned to the system’s Bowsher High School, where he also coached the girls’ varsity soccer team. In 2000, he moved to the Findlay City school system, where he taught health at Donnell Middle School.

After expanding his professional horizons by earning his Master’s degree in 2008 and his credential in the subject of social studies in 2009, Kevin Veroneau moved to Florida in 2010, where he spent a year at Osceola High School, in Largo. At Osceola High, he taught Economics, American History, and Honors American Government. Veroneau also coached the girls’ varsity soccer team, leading them to the regional semifinals before moving to San Antonio in 2011.

An enthusiastic supporter of numerous charities, Kevin Veroneau also volunteers for several community charitable activities and counts remodeling and construction work as well as exercising among his main hobbies.
