I am an experienced, accomplished and well-motivated self employed Social Work Professional. I have a socio-legal background. I have acquired a broad range of work experience in different service sectors but predominately in Court led statutory child care. I have undertaken and provided training in Safeguarding, Court Work and Adoption to a broad range of professionals including induction for new magistrates and guardians and foster carers.In the past, I have worked as a freelance Children’s Guardian for three regions, as a post adoption worker and as a sessional family group conference coordinator for NCH. My portfolio has included work as an independent person in secure accommodation reviews, complaints investigations and advocate. I was a member of BASW and have an enhanced CRB disclosure. I carry out independent social work assessments for court including s7 reports. I contract with and Darlington to provide independent advocacy and mediation to their approved foster carers. I adhere to deadlines and I believe that I am balanced, analytical and child centred in my practice. I have board level experience with two companies as a non executive director with over ten years experience as well as running my own business.
