A little bit country. A little bit city. With experiences and interests beyond and in between. Hi, I'm Kim. A career communicator and news pro who reads, writes, and tweets a lot.

My professional career has been a long winding journey so far, which has taken me into television studios, news rooms, editing bays, with more recent visits into board rooms, tropical forests, and UN assemblies. I was fortunate to take a time out several years ago, to see some of the incredible beauty my homeland U.S. offers from the open-air freedom of a convertible and blog about it as I drove. Every stop along the way has made the trip colorful, challenging, educational and thoroughly enriching.

Most recently, I led global communications for four-star rated nonprofit Conservation International, an environment and development organization which is working in 30+ countries to make Nature part of the collective conversation and solution. It was an amazing challenge and honor to support and guide so many passionate, courageous specialists working in science, policy, fundraising and CSR.

Before CI, I made my living telling stories, sharing ideas, and covering the news, at places like CNN, MSNBC, Lifetime Television, and the Oprah Winfrey Show. Because of these experiences, I am fortunate to have a wide, diverse network of colleagues and thought leaders with whom I stay connected.

I draw energy from creative ideation and teamwork and enjoy the challenge of taking charge, but I also thrive on quiet and solitude to create and produce. Mid-career now, I'm open to new directions and ever-curious about what lies around the next bend. Message me privately on Twitter or LinkedIn if you'd like to learn more. Thank you!
