Kim Chi Sun

To describe about me and my life, I would say it is all about MEDIA. Beginning with a passion for Music since I was really young, I have started to discover more about Media and immersed myself in every aspect of the Media world from social networks to staged productions, photography, videography...
My ambition is to have a career that allows me to work in a highly innovative and continuously changing environment where each day is a challenge and pushes me to develop myself both professionally and creatively.
I still remember how stressful it was in November 2012 when I could not choose my major. Then my mother told me: "If you choose something you have always loved, even if you makes mistakes and things go wrong, you can still be brave enough to face the problems and have the motivation to fix them...There is no points doing what others want and end up being snowed in stress and no motivations". At that moment, I knew Media would be the course that I would engage to.
People say to be a successful media worker is extremely hard and I know that I am taking a risk. But that is what makes life become more meaningful. A career in the media would allow me to have the opportunity to work with people that share the same passion and gain experience from them. Thinking about that is the inspiration that keeps me trying harder and harder...
As a media student in BCU now, I am happy to say that I am so glad that I have choosen this course. My course is broad, focussing on Music PR, TV, Photography and Events. I have changed a lot since I started this course. I have become more and more confident day by day. I talk with people more naturally, not as shy as how I was years ago, I record myself singing, dancing ,even talking, whenever I feel like doing it, and post it to YouTube, Facebook to share with people. Moreover, I am the promoter for a party organisation. Additionally, I organize shows for me and my friends to perform and for people to come and have fun. It requires a lot of hard work but in the end, it is all about the happiness I get and the experiences that I can gain.
Just something simple like that, but I can see clearly that Media has been changing my life every day. I am not afraid to show others about myself any more. I have dreams and yes, like others, my dreams are big and it might sound mindless, but I am trying my best to make them come true.
