Kim Figa

Throughout her 23 years, Westchester County, New York, resident Kim Figa celebrated every passing moment, whether working with children, spending time with friends, or volunteering for those in need. Before a January 2012 car accident took her away, she gave of herself whenever she could, from babysitting for family to cheering someone up after a difficult day. Indeed, Kim Figa was known for her generous spirit. She helped organize charity events, arranged free dance performances for seniors, and brightened children's lives on a daily basis.

As the Manager of KidStyles Salon in Bedford Hills, Kim Figa spent the last year of her life making the salon a fun place for children, with birthday parties, highlighting and hair coloring, and makeup for kids. A fun personality who loved children, Kim previously served as a Dance Instructor at Westchester Theater Dance Academy, where she taught many different styles of dance.

During this time, Kim Figa also attended Iona College full-time, earning her Bachelor of Arts in 2011. She graduated from Kennedy Catholic High School in Somers, where she captained the Varsity Gaels Cheerleading squad for three years. In her free time, Kim loved traveling with her family and being on and near the water.
