Kinga Tibold

For more than a decade, eye physician Kinga Michelle Tibold, MD, has performed surgical services for clients of Southern Maryland Ophthalmology. The practice has offices at Pembroke Square in Waldorf and at Merchants Lane in Leonardtown. Dr. Kinga Tibold joined the practice of Southern Maryland Ophthalmology in 1998, and in 2001 she participated in founding and designing the Leonardtown office. She also founded Breton Bay Optical LLC. Dr. Kinga Tibold holds active membership in the American Academy of Ophthalmology, which she initially joined in 1995 upon completion of her residency in ophthalmology at The Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She received her board certification in the specialty two years later and became a fellow of the Academy the same year. Strathmore’s Who’s Who, the global registry and network of professionals in medicine, law, business, and government, named Dr. Kinga Tibold an Honors Lifetime Member in the year 2000. She also proudly belongs to the Hungarian Medical Association of America, an organization of scientists and doctors that honor and sustain Hungarian medical practices and values. Dr. Kinga Tibold obtained her Bachelor of Science and graduated cum laude from Duke University. She earned her MD magna cum laude from the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo, the State University of New York.
