Kirk Willett

In 1994, Kirk Willett was recruited on a full scholarship by the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where he graduated four years later with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. While at school, Kirk played on the Cavaliers’ varsity football program, lettering in the sport in 1995, 1996, and 1997. As middle and outside linebacker for the Cavaliers, as well on as special teams, he contributed in helping the 1995 team win the Atlantic Coast Conference, closing the season with a win over Georgia in the Peach Bowl. In his junior and senior seasons, Kirk Willett’s Cavaliers reached the Florida Carquest Bowl (now known as the Champs Sports Bowl) and the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, Louisiana. Recently, he has volunteered as an Assistant Coach and scout for the local H.B. Plant High School varsity and junior varsity football teams, Florida state champions in 2006, 2008, and 2009, and runner-ups in 2010. At one game, Kirk Willett arranged for a 103-foot ship designed like a Spanish galleon to shoot T-shirts and socks out of its cannons at Raymond James Stadium. Today, Kirk Willett belongs to the Tampa Chapter of The National Football Foundation, an organization that supports amateur football and emphasizes academic achievement for the players. Kirk was also inducted into that chapter’s high school football hall of fame. Presently, Kirk Willett contributes to the financial world as a Regional Vice President of a global financial services company. Currently based in Tampa, he works through the wirehouse and other regional channels to drive sales, forging partnerships and building relationships with clients. Through meetings with other firms and one-on-one presentations, Kirk Willett offers seminars that provide clients with valuable information in preparing for retirement, estate planning, wealth transfer, and income replacement. With expertise in portfolio and risk management as well as asset allocation, he holds securities licensure in Series 6, Series 31, Series 7, Series 63, Series 65, and Life, Health and Variable Annuities in Florida. A member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Kirk Willett advocates for licensed life insurance agents and financial advisors through an organization of more than 700 state and local branches in the United States.
