Kishore Deshpande

Kishore Deshpande commands several decades of experience leading software and Internet technology development and bringing solutions to market. He currently serves as president and CEO of Universal Software Corporation, a technical consulting firm he founded in 1992. Kishore Deshpande manages about 150 employees at Universal Software Corporation’s Nashua, New Hampshire headquarters and another 75 workers in India.

Named one of the 500 fastest-growing private companies in the United States in 2000 and 2001 by Inc. magazine, Universal Software offers onsite, offsite, and offshore outsourcing services to IT enterprises and other types of tech companies. Under Kishore Deshpande’s leadership, Universal Software grew by more than 4,000 percent from 1994 to 1998. In 1995, Deshpande launched another enterprise, the Creative Software Corporation, to serve as an Internet technology incubator and investor.

Before founding his own companies, Kishore Deshpande worked as a software consultant at Sun Microsystems, Cadre Technologies, and Comverse Technology. He also earned a graduate degree in computer science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a graduate degree in mathematics from the Indian Institutes of Technology. During his free time, he enjoys playing tennis and listening to classical and semi-classical music.
