A native English speaker, I also provide expert translation of academic, literary and business texts from German into English.
My loyal client base is comprised of individual authors as well as research teams at institutes in Continental Europe. Inquiries from new clients are most welcome. References available upon request.
RESEARCH and PUBLICATIONS: My research focuses on early education, parent/school relations, and related social policies in the 19th-21st centuries, especially in the UK, USA, and Germany. I am co-editor with Jack Dougherty of Writing History in the Digital Age (Ann Arbor: University of Michigan Press, 2013), and with Harry Willekens and Kirsten Scheiwe of The Development of Early Childhood Education in Europe and North America: Historical and Comparative Perspectives (Basingstoke: Palgrave, 2015). My most recent book, co-authored with Alessandra Arce Hai, Helen May, Larry Prochner and Yordaka Valkanova, is entitled Reimagining Teaching in Early 20th Century Experimental Schools (Basingstoke, Palgrave, 2020).
