Knelman Asset Management

For more than a decade, Knelman Asset Management Group has provided equity, fixed-income, and asset allocation services to institutional pension and profit sharing plans as well as a high net worth client base. The firm opened under the guidance of founder I.P. “Kip” Knelman who previously was CEO of Investment Advisers, an institutional money management firm with over $18 billion dollars. As CEO at Investment Advisers he was responsible for all investments, sales and marketing, mutual fund sales as well as operations, administration and legal.

The firm operated independently for five years before its acquisition by Lazard Asset Management in 2005. In December 2008, Mr. Knelman re-acquired the firm, and since that time it has operated under its original name. All firm operations center on an organizational philosophy of honesty and trust, which translates to a collaborative management style and fully discretionary operations. Senior investment professionals select products based on client preferences and goals, with a focus on optimizing return and honoring clients' objectives for absolute or consistent return.
