Koben Miceli
Manufacturing Industry Professional in Houston, Texas
With 17 years in the aerospace, pharmaceutical, consumer packaged goods, and automotive manufacturing industries, Koben Miceli brings a high level of professionalism and expertise to his work. Much of his duties revolve around revitalizing companies and improving operational performance. From 2004 to 2009, he spent a considerable amount of time working with Honeywell International Inc., a manufacturing company, in a number of roles. He began in 2004 as a Supply Chain Process Leader, where he oversaw inventory management, sales and operations planning, lean business practices deployment, and demand management. Over the course of this effort, Koben Miceli oversaw projects in seven different factories in Spain, France, and Germany, where he concentrated on stream mapping and cycle-time reduction. In addition, he collaborated with members of the AERO leadership in order to find a sales and operations planning method.
From 2005 to 2007, Koben Miceli served as a Plant Manager for Honeywell in South Bend, Indiana. There, he managed the manufacturing of wheels and braking systems for aircraft in the military and civilian markets. This aerospace factory employed some 400 workers and saw $34 million in revenue annually. However, the factory was in need of a turnaround, and over the course of two years, Koben Miceli saw an increase in operating income of $35 million and a sales increase of $80 million. While keeping business costs stable, he increased the factory’s capacity by 30% and justified $20 million in capital investment.
Beginning in 2007, Koben Miceli took over the position of Senior Director of Globalization Strategy at Honeywell and oversaw the largest globalization project that the company’s Aerospace division had ever undertaken. As a result of his efforts, the company built several new factories around the world—one in Mexico, one in Malaysia, and one in Central Europe. This was made possible through Koben Miceli’s manufacturing strategies. In addition, he analyzed operational synergies and collaborated with teams around the globe. At present, Koben Miceli is employed at Catalent, Inc., a full-service pharmaceutical support business, where he works to increase efficiency.
