Toyota City, Aichi prefecture, Japan

I'm a 28 year old woman, born in Zambia & raised in South Africa (for the most part). Graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2008 with a Bachelor of Business Science, Finance Honours degree.

In 2008, I was selected to represent South Africa in Japan as a candidate on the Japanese Exchange & Teaching (JET) program. This is where my love for Japan developed. I lived on the smallest of the four Japanese main lands (Shikoku) for 3 years in Matsuyama city, Ehime prefecture. There, I worked as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) in elementary and junior high schools. In 3 years, I taught in a total of 9 schools.

In 2011, I returned to South Africa where I worked as a management consultant in Johannesburg for 1 year. My client projects included working in the banking sector, insurance as well as the government sector.

In March 2013, I decided to move back to Japan becuase I missed it so much. I am currently working as an ALT in Toyota city, Aichi prefecture. Hoping to be here for about 2 years before I embark on my MBA.

I am interested in Japanese language & culture, travel, networking, education, singing, playing squash, cycling & watching soccer.
