Kris Haddow is a Scottish playwright, poet and performer. He writes short stories and prose in both Scots and English.

Winner of the 2010 ‘see me’ Creative Writing Award, judged by author Lari Don and presented by Scots Makar Liz Lochhead, Kris later adapted his winning entry as a monologue for recital at An Exhibition of Spoken Word in Glasgow.

2h:9m:37s, a one-man comedy written and performed by Kris, first staged at the 2011 Scottish Mental Health Arts & Film Festival before touring Scotland in Spring 2012.  Make Your Move, a short play written by Kris and co-starring actor Robert Softley, was performed and broadcast live online for the National Theatre of Scotland's 2011 Five Minute Theatre event. He is taking part again in 2012 with A Not-So Dirty Protest.

Kris's recent stage appearances include King Lear at the Citizens TheatreGirl X with the National Theatre of ScotlandRomeo and Juliet with Scottish Ballet, the community opera On the Rim of the World with Scottish Opera at the Citizens Theatre, and accompanying the Citz Community Company with folk music and songs in Fair Friday. He also worked as a supporting artist on Series 1 & 2 of BBC Scotland's Garrow's Law.

A trained baritone, Kris still sings at suppers and concerts throughout Scotland. When not writing or performing, he finds work as a life coach, trainer and graphic designer.
