Kristen Lafferty

College athlete Kristen Lafferty participates on the cross country and track and field teams at DePaul University, a Division I Athletic institution and part of the Big East Conference. In 2010, Kristen Lafferty set personal records at the Loyola Lakefront XC Invitational with a time of 20:12 for the 5,000-meter race and at the Bradley University Classic with a time of 26:02 for the 6,000-meter race. During her first season with DePaul University, she set a season-best with a time of 12:15.00 for the 3,000-meter indoor race at the Chicago Duals and a personal record with a time of 20:56 for the 5-kilometer race at the Notre Dame Invitational. She also ran a 4-kilometer race in 17:10 at the DePaul Opener. As a high school student, Kristen Lafferty competed in touch rugby, soccer, track and field, and cross country, lettering in each sport. Kristen Lafferty earned gold medals in the 1,500-meter and the 3,000-meter races at the Asia Pacific Activities Conference and earned the title of Most Valuable Player at the 2008 Asia Pacific Activities Conference cross country championship in Guam. With a passion for playing sports and staying active, she can she enjoys spending her spare time wakeboarding, snowboarding, and scuba diving.
