Kristin Swanson-Mace

Attorney Kristin Swanson-Mace primarily focuses on workers’ compensation defense issues from her legal practice in Orlando, Florida. Working with a variety of clients, Ms. Swanson-Mace represents employers, carriers, and the self-insured facing claims filed by injured workers. With a hands-on attitude, she personally handles every file referred to her office.

Kristin Swanson-Mace attended the United States Military Academy at West Point for two years before transferring to Providence College in Rhode Island in 1981. She graduated cum laude with a BA in Political Science in 1983. The following year, Ms. Swanson-Mace began Juris Doctor studies at California Western School of Law. While attending the school, she earned the American Jurisprudence Award in Trusts and Estates and the American Jurisprudence Award in Civil Procedure.

Kristin Swanson-Mace joined the law firm Rissman, Barrett, Hurt, Donahue & McLain, P.A., in 1988, practicing as an Associate until 1999. She then became Partner at Spangler, Mace, and Zinaich, P.A., and continued her focus on workers’ compensation defense cases. In December 2000, Ms. Swanson-Mace founded her private practice, which she maintains to this day. Kristin Swanson-Mace has served as a member of The Florida Bar since 1987, a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association since 1991, and a member of the Workers' Compensation Section of The Florida Bar since 1988.

As a mother of four, Kristin Swanson-Mace supports her children in their scholastic and sporting endeavors. In late 2010, she lost her eldest son to a drug overdose. Since that time, Ms. Swanson-Mace has actively educated community youths about the dangers of drug use. She volunteers with the Parents Encouraging Confident Choices, Inc., and Teen Challenge International, USA.
