Kathy Sandler is a leader, a visionary, and a technologist in the field of publishing. She has been in publishing technology for more than 30 years. She is currently Senior Manager, Content Applications at Penguin Random House. In the past, she was eBook Project Manager at Scholastic, helped Meredith launch digital editions of Parents and Fitness Magazines to iPad and Android, and worked in publishing technology at Hearst Magazines for 20 years.
Kathy was listed as one of the 40 Most Influential People in Publishing by Folio: Magazine. She has been Co-President of Women's Media Group and President of Women In Production. She founded Digital Asset Management Day, Magazine Publishing Track, and Cost Savings Days at the Seybold Seminars, and spoke or moderated at many other industry conferences. Kathy is an Adobe Certified Expert in InDesign, has her Project Management Certification (PMP), and completed a nanodegree in Product Management.
She got an MBA from New York University in December 1994, co-majoring in Information Systems and Management. She has been an Adjunct Professor at NYU's Master's in Publishing Program and at Pace University's Master's in Publishing Program.
