I have cross-sector leadership experience in environmental science, environmental justice, education, GIS, information technology, and sustainability. I am a former Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) with senior-level IT/SQL experience, a Green Classroom Professional, and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional, Neighborhood Development (LEED AP ND). I am Program and Policy Director for The People's Justice Council and Alabama Interfaith Power & Light.

I won Planet Ark’s World Environment News Letter to the Editor Competition in November, 2011, with my entry on the importance of preserving biodiversity, "The First Rule of Intelligent Tinkering (Is to Save All the Parts)." I helped launch America's first Ecotech Institute and have been a regular blogger for the Alabama Solar Knowledge (ASK) project, Triple Pundit, Ecotech Institute, Sustainable Industries magazine, Microsoft Hohm, and the Green Register.

I am also an adjunct instructor in the University of Montevallo's Environmental Studies program.
