Kyle Curtis

Comic, Writer, and Life Coach in Portland, Oregon

Hire me

I am a comic in Portland, Oregon, constantly writing new jokes which I proceed tell over and over again. (Hopefully sounding as if I'm telling the jokes for the very first time each time.) I am also currently taking improv classes, learning how to be funny with other people. Sometimes it gets lonely being by myself, telling jokes about body parts to a room full of strangers.

As a freelance writer I have been published in newspapers, print magazines, and online. I've learned that comedy writing is an entirely different beast, but is still a challenge I enjoy.

I'm committed to issues regarding social justice, sustainability, and just making the world a better place. I have worked for a number of Portland-area nonprofits including Outgrowing Hunger, Build Gateway Green, and XRAY-FM, Portland's nonprofit radio station.

I will add value to your project, whether "punching up" a speech or developing a strategic communications plan for your organization.
