I grew up in the "Niederrhein" region, more or less in a small village in thr middle between Cologne, Düsseldorf, Mönchengladbach and nowhere. I studied ancient history at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf.

Somehow, I moved to Frankfurt and joined the communications team of Nike. I spent a couple of years there, before the company sent me to Switzerland where I could gain some experience in Brand Management.

Now, after ten years in the Sporting Goods industry I found a new professional home at myclimate. myclimate is a foundation focussing on climate protection. myclimated is well known especially in Switzerland as we paved the ground for the system of voluntary carbon offsetting. But we also focus on reducing and avoiding of CO2 emissions.

Sport has always been a crucial part of my life. So, I am still football addicted, love to play and to suffer while watching my favoured club BVB. Also, I love to bike and to hike. Playing beach volleyball and jumping in the lake afterwards is also not so bad. And, I am very interested in politics. A critical discussion on a certain level is always welcome.
