Larry V. Wooten

Larry V. Wooten, Jr., attended Western Michigan University, studying food distribution. He successfully launched his own business before completing a degree program. In addition to a farming and managerial background, he holds expertise in various retail food endeavors. Larry V. Wooten, Jr., worked in his family's Rocky Mount, North Carolina-based food company until its sale in 1982.

Experienced in various methods for brewing iced tea, Mr. Wooten thrived in the beverage field. He began to market tea in 1982, and he was one of the first people to aggressively target the retail tea market. In the middle of that decade, Lawrence Wooten was awarded a patent for the real tea leaf tea brewing methods he developed. He aggressively marketed the new brewing process, securing a domestic and international client base spanning three continents. His tea earned distribution in a variety of retail and large-scale restaurant chains.

He successfully sold his company in 1998 and moved into managing farms and producing produce. Presently, Larry V. Wooten, Jr., spends his time volunteering with the Salvation Army. He resides in Florida.
