Welcome to my journey in the world of technology and data! With a foundation built on several certifications in Microsoft and expertise as a Java developer, my career has been a dynamic exploration of the ever-evolving landscape of software development and business intelligence.

I began my professional journey as a software developer, specialising in building and customising platforms for diverse industries such as banking, telecom, and the public sector. As my skills evolved, I transitioned into a business intelligence role, delving into the intricacies of various databases, including Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and more. My expertise expanded further with the utilisation of Pentaho, an open-source business intelligence platform.

My international experience commenced in Edinburgh, Scotland, where I worked as a Business Intelligence cConsultant and Data Engineer, leveraging open-source tools. The journey continued in London, where I contributed to first-class banks and stock exchanges as a data engineer consultant, specialising in big data tools.

My proficiency with Microsoft Azure was highlighted in a significant project involving the migration of a Data Warehouse from on-premises to the Azure cloud for a major energy supplier. Technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Cognitive Search were instrumental in the success of this venture. Additionally, I played a pivotal role in implementing a Customer Data Warehouse using Matillion and Snowflake for another prominent player in the zero-carbon electricity generation sector.

My exploration of cloud platforms continued in Portugal, where I embraced Google Cloud Platform at SWORD Health. As a data engineer, I harnessed the power of DBT and BigQuery to deliver efficient and innovative solutions.

Currently, I am contributing my expertise as a Senior Data Engineer at Alphasights, where my focus revolves around tools like DBT and AWS Redshift. The journey so far has been a testament to my commitment to staying at the forefront of technological advancements and delivering impactful solutions in the realm of data engineering.
