Laura Baecher-Lind

Through her work as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for Tufts University School of Medicine, Dr. Laura Baecher-Lind has addressed a number of pertinent medical topics, among them hormonal contraception; cervical, endometrial, and ovarian cancer; colposcopy; hysteroscopy; vulvar disease; and an array of other related matters. Since 2009, Dr. Laura Baecher-Lind has also served Tufts Medical Center as an Attending Physician in the same department, where she works directly with patients to address a variety of concerns.

Prior to serving institutions at Tufts University as both a teacher and a practitioner of medicine, Dr. Laura Baecher-Lind worked from 2007 through 2009 as an Instructor and Clinical Research Fellow at a University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill hospital. Since 2009, she has maintained licensing as a physician and surgeon through the state of Massachusetts, where she currently practices.

The recipient of numerous awards, including the Ralph A. Reis Award for Resident Research and the Dr. Susan Perlman Award for academic excellence, leadership, and compassion from the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, Dr. Laura Baecher-Lind continues to take part in the cultivation of knowledge in her field of practice and pedagogy. As a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, she frequently contributes papers and presentations to such conferences and publications as the Annual Meeting of the American Public Health Association, the International Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics, and the Journal of Reproductive Medicine, among others. In addition to her professional career and work, Dr. Laura Baecher-Lind also helps facilitate the establishment of a screening program for cervical cancer in Northern Haiti. The Dean of Global Health at Tufts University School of Medicine oversees the program, which began in October 2010.
