Laura Figge, M.S.

Health communication is all about creating a shared meaning about healthcare. The American Medical Association (2009) states that 80% of medical errors are due to communication breakdown. In today's rapidly changing world of healthcare, an opportunity exists to deliver effective health messages to patients, consumers and healthcare professionals.

As a health communication professional, I thrive off of taking complex health information and medical data and translating it into clear, consice messages that will result in understanding and behavioral changes.
