You are most likely to find me on board a cruise ship sipping on a pina colada....however seeing as I have to work for a living this is not always possible!

In 2004 I took a cruise on the QE2 and from that moment on my career has always revolved around the cruise industry. I started off working for Carnival UK in their head office and then after resisting the urge for a long while I packed my stuff up and went to work at sea in the role of Loyalty Manager.

When I returned from sea I went to work for Royal Caribbean in their UK Head Office, but after 2 years there I felt that my career progression had come to a stand still there so that is when I started at Halmer Travel Recruitment.

I am now in the perfect job as I am now a recruitment agent for Excite Recruitment and I deal with seagoing roles as well as some fantastic land based hospitality roles. I get to speak to cruise companies all day long and source fabulous people to work for them.
