Lawrence Eng

I received my PhD in Science and Technology Studies from Rensselaer Polytechnic

Institute in 2006. My doctoral research examined the ways in which anime otaku

and related subcultures engage and appropriate science and technology.

Between 2006 and 2011, I worked for Opera Software. I am currently the Online

Community Manager for ServiceNow.

I live with my wife (Carol Kim) and kids in San Diego, CA.
