Leanne Baker

I am an ecotoxicologist, currently based in the Environmental Sciences department at Baylor University, in Waco, Texas. My current projects include: examining the fate and transformation of nanoparticles in streams; the effects of glyphosate-based herbicides and fertilizers in wetlands; improving the choice of statistical decision-making thresholds; understanding determinants of food web height; and the effects of metal-contamination in constructed wetlands in the oil sands region of Alberta. I am a NABS-certified aquatic invertebrate taxonomist (family level-all phyla). In my spare time I am an only-slightly-less-than-terrible photographer, quilter, and ukulele player.
