Grew up in the Dos Palos / Firebaugh area, two small farming communities in the central San Joaquin Valley. Met my wife Sandi in Wawona, in 1982, and we were married in 1986. We have one son, Joshua, born in Glendale in 1991.

Began working for The Dohring Company as an Account Manager in 1992, moved up to Sales Manager and then COO. As part of The Dohring Company management team, transitioned to become the COO of a new website, www.Neopets.com , which we sold to Nickelodeon in 2005. We spent close to 18 months as Nickelodeon employees as part of the acquisition.

We then started a new company in 2007, Age of Learning, Inc., and began building our early learning education website, ABCmouse.com. ABCmouse.com, which offers a full online curriculum in the subjects of reading, mathematics, science, social studies, art and music for young children, is an award-winning global education initiative to help children build a strong foundation for future academic success.
