Bio: Nicholas Legere grew up in the scenic countryside of Springvale, Maine. Nick spent 18 years of his life in nature before moving to the metropolis of Portland, Maine. Aside from his interests in Ceramic Arts he also enjoys all types of theory and philosophy. He is a concerned environmentalist as well as an out door enthusiast and when he’s not in the studio he’d rather be camping in the woods than doing anything else.

• Knowledgeable of sculpting, hand-building, mold making, and throwing techniques. Operation and firing theory of electric and gas fired kilns. Also knowledgeable of various areas of glaze chemistry and glaze theory. Furthermore, also experienced in clay making and recycling, glaze mixing, as well as mixing surface and casting slips.
