Le Petit Papillon Montessori School

Located in South Florida, Le Petit Papillon Montessori School aims to create lifelong learners through education that engages the senses and the world outside the classroom. In combination with experiential learning in subjects like science, reading, and the arts, teachers accompany students to places such as the Bass Museum, Miami Beach Botanical Garden, Oleta River State Park, and the Miami Seaquarium. Students also recently visited the art park Wynwood Walls, where they studied graffiti as an art form, listened to jazz from an award-winning performer, and sketched drawings of their own.

The school has received considerable acclaim from industry organizations since its inception in 1999. The United States Commerce Association, for instance, named it Miami Beach's Best Montessori School. In addition, founder Damarys Zarling garnered recognition from the Latino American Who's Who. The school holds accreditation from several agencies, including the Association of Independent Schools of Florida, AdvancED, and the American Montessori Society.
