
Leslie Sherlin, PhD began his career at the University of Tennessee where he became interested in quantitative electroencephalography and psychophysiology. For 5 years he was a research assistant working as a student of Joel Lubar, PhD, a pioneer in neurofeedback. He completed a BA in Psychology, MS in Clinical Psychology and PhD in Psychology. He acquired training in Low Resolution Electromagnetic Tomography (LORETA), directly from the developer in Zurich, Switzerland in 2000. Following these key life experiences he co-founded Nova Tech EEG, Inc. In 2002 he began using QEEG analysis and neurofeedback in client services but continues to pursue multiple research projects in the field psychophysiology. While continuing to consult in clinical settings he currently focuses in elite athlete performance.
Dr. Sherlin is currently employed as the Chief Science Officer and Executive Vice President of Research and Development for Neurotopia, Inc. Additionally, after being the president for ten years, he remains the CEO of Nova Tech EEG, Inc and is the managing partner of Sherlin Consulting, LLC.
Dr. Sherlin has the academic appointments of adjunct associate professor at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine; faculty at University of Phoenix main campus; adjunct faculty at Northern Arizona University; and clinical faculty at Southwest Naturopathic Medical Center.
Dr. Sherlin has published extensively and is an international speaker. He has served on the board of directors for the International Society for Neurofeedback and Research and the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance in numerous elected positions and is an editor for the Journal of Neurotherapy. He is board certified at the Diplomat level in QEEG and in both Biofeedback and Neurofeedback.
