I tell stories for a living in Dallas, Texas and have been doing so for 25 years in cities across America. For the past 11 years, I've been a senior member of the Dallas Morning News staff, spending five years as transportation writer in Dallas, three years in Washington as business correspondent, and since January, 2016 back in Dallas as a member of the Editorial Board. I also occasionally teach literary journalism and media law and ethics, In 2012-13, I spent a year at Stanford as a John S. Knight Journalism Fellow.
