I am passionate about the incredible opportunities that are present at the intersection of business and philanthropy. My concentration has been on building, executing, and scaling sustainable models that focus on underserved populations. I received my BS and MSW from New York University while directing and guiding the design, development, and implementation of a pilot at the Center for Special Needs. While working with dedicated, intelligent, and productive young adults with disabilities, my interest in the business case for hiring people with disabilities sparked.

I started working for Walgreens on their initiative to hire people with disabilities from scratch in NYC and expanded nationwide. While working for the Senior VP of Distribution and Logistics, I co-designed Walgreens REDI (Retail Employees with Disabilities Initiative). REDI is the training program that prepares people with disabilities to be qualified candidates for positions at Walgreens retail locations. I was involved from the pilot stages, and helped guide its evolution to a program that was implemented nationally. I oversaw all aspects of training, development, and execution while serving as the liaison between funders, government representatives, stores, not-for-profit agencies, and Walgreens corporate offices. A large part of my job involved presenting information about the program internally and externally to senior-level business people nationally and furthering Walgreens relationship with key external stakeholders. I motivated internal employees to get involved and proved to stakeholders that these hires would decrease turnover, increase employee engagement and most importantly, increase the business bottom line.

My next project was serving as the Executive Director of Incline, a social enterprise focused on educating, supporting, and equipping military veterans with the skills to pursue careers in technology. I was responsible for day-to-day operations, which included signing on new partners, creating tailored communication plans, matching candidates with potential employers, and recruiting new students, speakers, and mentors.

I am thrilled to join the United States Business Leadership Network (USBLN), a national business to business organization that focuses on disability inclusion in the workplace, supply chain, and marketplace.
