Lloyd Takao

A caring and well-known physician, Lloyd Takao, MD, has been providing expert care to children, babies, and young adults for more than three decades. Committed to providing a different experience than what is found in corporate healthcare settings, Dr. Takao focuses on providing patient-based care, spending more time with his clients, and seeing them during nights and weekends to prevent emergency room visits. He also customizes treatments to meet the specific needs of his individual patients. His expertise within his field, and commitment to those in his care, has earned him several awards including the Top Performing Physician Award presented by the Hill Physicians IPA, and the 2005 Bernard Gregory Award for Advancing Cultural Diversity. Currently, Lloyd Takao, MD, practices pediatric medicine at his private office in Orinda, California.

Holding a medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio, Dr. Lloyd Takao completed his internship at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Oakland and his pediatrics residency at Children’s Hospital Oakland. After completing his internship, Dr. Takao gained experience in emergency room medicine as an ER staff physician at Kaiser Foundation Hospital, later going on to work in general pediatrics as a part of a multi-specialty group. For many years, Dr. Lloyd Takao has been part of the pediatric teaching staff at the University of California, San Francisco, and has served private practices in Alameda and Orinda before opening his current office.
