I was born and raised in central Minnesota where the people are bolder and the winter is colder.

I currently live in Sartell. Before that, Duluth. Further back, China. My wife, Jeni, our 18 month old daughter Lucy, newborn son Finn and I make our home in Sartell.

I now work for Cohlab, a digital marketing agency in St. Cloud. I've wanted to get into marketing for a long time. I love writing, and I've known the owners for some time now so it was a natural fit.

I previously worked for WDIO/WIRT-TV as the producer of their morning news program. It was an exciting job, requiring lots of writing and web-work, and I get to meet lots of neat and important people. But, I grew tired of the graveyard shift, and we decided it was best to move closer to home, and look for new careers. That's when I took a job with the Newsleaders in St. Joseph, Sartell-St. Stephen and Sauk Rapids-Rice as their operations manager and assignment editor. I was able to be a part of a lot of great stories and meet many fantastic people, but eventually left to be able to spend more time with my family.

A few years ago, I took 13 months to teach English in China. I've been dreaming of China since I was 10 years old and I'm so excited to have found an opportunity to live there. I spent my non-teaching hours learning Mandarin Chinese, exploring the small community I live in, and making many new friends - both Chinese and foreign.

I love music, reading, writing, and having fun with awesome people.
