Lonnie Lenarduzzi

Technology innovator Lonnie Lenarduzzi currently acts as Chief Technical Officer for the Michigan-based automotive technology firm ENRG Power Systems LLC. Lonnie Lenarduzzi has an established record of developing and selling new ignition technologies. Currently, Mr. Lenarduzzi and ENRG Power Systems are focusing on a new plasma pulse ignition device targeted for the automotive market that promises to increase fuel efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Lonnie Lenarduzzi started his technology career at Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, earning an Associate degree in Specialized Technology in 1975. From 1979 to 1982, he attended classes in thermodynamics, physics, and chemistry sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy in Torrance, California. During classes taught by high-level experts from the Department of Energy staff and The USC faculty, Mr. Lenarduzzi conducted research on ion separation techniques for uranium hexafluoride.

Working as an R&D Technician for AiResearch, a manufacturer of aviation products, Lonnie Lenarduzzi translated theoretical research into manufacturing prototypes. In this capacity, he maintained a U.S. Department of Energy top-secret “Q” clearance. Subsequently, Mr. Lenarduzzi functioned as a Field Service Engineer for Bridgeport Milling Machines in Connecticut from 1982 to 1985, and later with Mazak Corporation in Torrance, California, from 1985 to 1987.

In 1987, Lonnie Lenarduzzi joined Aero Design Products, Inc., of Newport Beach, California. Aero Design Products manufactured aerospace components and ignition systems. As an electronics engineer, he designed and developed advanced ignition systems used in the Perma-Tune product line. He formed Perma-Tune, Inc. in Anaheim in 1989, and served as its President and Experimental Electro-Physicist. In this position, Mr. Lenarduzzi designed a coilless ignition system and a digital fire engine management computer.
Subsequently, Lonnie Lenarduzzi presided at Perma-Tune as Chief Scientist. At Perma-Tune, he continued to develop sophisticated ignition systems, especially focusing on plasma ignition products geared for the high-performance automotive market, including Porsche, Ferrari, and Lamborghini owners. In 2009, he began his collaboration with ENRG Power Systems LLC of Detroit and Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Lonnie Lenarduzzi currently lives in Center Moriches, New York.
