I am involved in designing and experimenting with new ways of combining resources, skills, knowledge and tools to help people to communicate, learn, share and collaborate in different ways.

The contexts in which I am doing this include both neighbourhoods and citywide. The potential benefits are broadly around wellbeing; of individuals and of communities. The impact should be social, environmental and economic.

As a Senior Development Officer at Dudley CVS I am:

Collaborating with Civic Systems Lab and residents of the Wrens Nest Estate in Dudley to co-create Open Hub, a way of making it easier for people with ideas to connect and do things.

A founder of CoLab Dudley Borough, highlighting an abundance of skills, knowledge and resources which can be freely shared across organisation boundaries and communities to explore and generate new knowledge. We are harnessing a desire to share and collaborate among people who care and want to use thier imagination and creativity to help organisations and communities adapt to new challenges.

Supporting residents in East Coseley Big Local area to create thier own community activities and common spaces, and more broadly to deliver thier Big Local Plan.

A member of Dudley Health & Wellbeing Board's Development Group, providing support around community engagement, co-production and asset based approaches.

In early 2014 I was also a member of the FutureShift team, supporting changemakers from across Birmingham and the Black Country to develop civic ventures through The Civic Foundry accelerator programme.

In an unpaid capacity I am:

A member of the Maker Team of Hub Birmingham.

Co-manager of Social Media Surgeries in Dudley and Stourbridge and convenor of BostinCamp.

RSA Fellowship Councillor for the West Midlands.
