Two days after my wonderful and beloved father passed away, I woke up and it hit me like the proverbial 2 tonne truck –I was doing what I did not have an interest in, living in a place I did not like, and living a life that seemed to belong to someone else. My excuse: Over the last few years, I had faced so many challenges (breakups, financial difficulties, loss of loved ones) , survived (just) moments of despair, overcome adversity, experienced hopelessness that I kept myself in the safe zone i.e. a mundane and mind-numbing life. Change is hard. It’s like turning around a huge cruise ship in a storm. There is resistance internally and externally. But over time, I have figured myself out and I am now doing my thing. In the meantime, I love the excitement of helping clients launch a new product, grow a business and doubling or in some cases tripling their income. I sincerely believe from overcoming adversity in my own life that ‘Success depends on our ability to reinvent ourselves within the context of those life changing moments’.
