Lyndsay Peters

Previously a social media marketer at Kayak Online Marketing, geek-of-all-trades, and graduate of the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. I also hold a diploma in Early Learning and Child Care from Mount Royal University.

Marketing is similar to play: you have a short window of time in which you want to make people willing to learn what you're talking about and engage with you. My job is to share and structure information in a way that opens people up to finding out more.

Marketing messages should be invitations, and I love to be welcomed in by a well-executed marketing strategy.

My education in childcare impressed upon me the importance of play for humans of all ages. Play keeps us open to learning, play keeps our brains active, and play helps us solve problems. I exercise my love of play by sitting down with board games and RPGs. My background photo is Marksburg Castle. Touring castles in Germany was a dream come true to visit for a dungeon delving D&D player like myself.

When I'm not at work, I'm usually playing a board game from my growing collection, or walking my retired racing greyhound.
