Experience

Non-Profit Program Director | Disability Advocacy

As a non-profit program director, I have built and led teams of more than 150 volunteers and have advocated for disability rights, including ASL interpreting and special education, in public schools and religious spaces.

I have advocated for special education reform at The White House, the U.S. Department of Ed, the U.S. House of Representatives and Texas State Board of Education.

I co-founded Decoding Dyslexia Texas, a grassroots parent-led movement that has raised awareness of literacy issues and impacted dyslexia legislation in numerous states through our #SayDyslexia campaign.

Freelance Writing

As a freelance writer and consultant, I offer copywriting, copy editing, digital/SEO and social media strategy, PR, proposal development and technical writing to clients.

I have placed multiple op-eds in national publications about my family's experience with literacy, special education, assistive technology, disability rights, dyslexia legislation and grassroots community activism.
