Dr. Lynnette Walker

Washington, DC

Teacher, leader, mentor, coach, consultant, writer, speaker, motivator.

I am all of those and more, but intrinsically I am a teacher. I've spent the last 20 years of my professional life in public K-12 education as a teacher and administrator in traditional public schools and charter schools in Washington, DC, Prince George's County, MD, Baltimore, MD and Atlanta, GA.

My work in the field of public education has afforded me the opportunity to positively touch the lives of thousands of students, parents and educators, over and over again. I am grateful to have experienced what it actually looks like and feels like to truly make a tangible, positive impact in people's lives. From students who have gone on to graduate from college, start careers and begin families; to parents that were struggling to make ends meet, that I mentored, coached and helped find jobs, who are now the founders and presidents of their own non-profit organizations; to teachers that I trained, developed and challenged to "always do what's best for children" who have gone on to assume various positions of leadership in schools across the country. For all of these experiences, I am blessed!
