I have worked as a project manager for monitoring and evaluation for an extended period and feel passionate about bringing evidence to decisions.
Although I am at home in European politics I am also open to apply my skills to development cooperation and other areas of interests, notably immigration and employment policies.
As a field of employment M&E has to offer a number of interesting aspects:
- We can fully apply the research skills acquired in university but at the same time it is different from normal research (e.g. no need for citations).
- M&E can bring value to decision-making processes and it can improve government intervention by pointing out inefficiencies and making recommendations on necessary adjustments.
- Recently, I have developed a keen interest in qualitative methods such as outcome mapping, outcome harvesting, positive deviation and the most significant change method.
I am available for short-term assignments and will be happy to “take your call”.
Regards
Michael
