Michelle Capobianco

Ciao! I am the owner of a food and catering company in Queens, New York called Majella Home Cooking. The daughter of Italian immigrants, I grew up with a strong sense of my Abruzzese and Sicilian heritage. During my university years, I studied in Perugia and Firenze and have since traveled the Italian peninsula extensively. I return to my father's native Abruzzo with my husband and three sons each summer, where we use our family home in Salle, a village within the Parco Nazionale della Majella, as a base for exploring Abruzzo and other regions of Italy. A corporate attorney for nearly ten years, I turned my passion for Italian gastronomy and culture into a "second-chance" career cooking and writing about Italy's regional foods.
