Mandeep Mann

Mandeep Mann received a first class honours in Textile Design from Chelsea College of Art and Design. She is currently in her final year of the two-year Textiles Masters programme at the prestigious Royal College of Art and Design. Her work is highly technique based and experimental. She strives to create unique fashion/interior fabrics with a strong emphasis on material exploration. "Trying to merge two opposing qualities has been insightful and produced some pleasing results," explained Mandeep. "I am passionate about using traditional techniques and materials in new and innovative ways with the aim of pushing the boundaries of textile design."

She has had exciting opportunities to exhibit at locations in London including the Royal College of Art, Chelsea College of Art and Design, the Worshipful Company of Dyers, Hilton Hotel and at the London Alternative Fashion Show. She has also exhibited at Indigo Premier Vision in Paris. Mandeep has sold to various private clients and to fashion houses such as Desigual.

She is the lucky recipient of a number of awards as a result of her Textile Design work. She was awarded first prize in a collaborative project with Burberry and Christopher Bailey, part of that award was a three-month paid internship with Burberry. The opportunity to gain industry experience of textile processes with a fashion context has proved invaluable. She is a recent winner of a QEST Scholarship enabling Mandeep to undertake the MA Textiles at the RCA where she will further specialise in Mixed Media Textile Design. The Worshipful Company of Dyers awarded a Travel Scholarship to her for use of colour within her design work. For more information please visit link below.
